| When the new Gladius Tactical Flashlight was debuted at the 2005 SHOT SHOW, we were asked to develop a GG&G Tactical Impact Device for this innovative flashlight.It didn’t take long for our New Products Team specifically designed to match the unique contour of the Gladius tactical flashlight.
Originally conceived by personal protection specialist and GG&G Technical Advisor Lance Harris, the GG&G Tactical Impact Device (TID) fits easily on the bezel of the Gladius and is secured from removal by four small set screws. Manufactured solid from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, it has a Type III hard-coat anodized matte black mil-spec coating, giving the TID an extremely durable military finish. Although lightweight, the GG&G TID adds sufficient heft to the front end of the flashlight to accelerate the forward momentum during the thrust stroke. Its sharp, proprietary spade pattern surrounds the entire bezel, and provides an aggressive, and extremely effective, alternative to lethal force. As Lance Harris aptly described the TID in an interview; “The GG&G TID was developed to de-fang an opponent through the use of trapping and pressure-point-compliance techniques. There is no other alternative force tool available that offers the concealability, and versatility of the TID.” The Gladius TID certainly meets that criteria. |
